- Do not place your flowers in a refrigerator, cooler, ice chest, etc. that is or will be below 40 degrees. Lower temperatures will turn your flowers black. Do not store any type of fruit in the refrigerator. Fruit emits ethylene gas which ruins fresh flowers.
- Do not leave your flowers in a hot car while running errands.
- Do not leave your flowers in a church overnight that is not air conditioned.
- Bring a large car, van or SUV, big enough to place your flowers. Remember to clean out your car and do not bring a lot of people with you, as you will need the space for your flowers, which are generally tall, wide and irregular. The more flat and tall cargo space the better.
- If you are picking up your flowers a day ahead – be sure to add water daily as needed. Be sure to check, it is your responsibility.
- Do not place your flowers in a draft, direct sun, on top of a television, or any other item that emits heat.
